A part of the collection consisting of art pieces from Turkish Modern Art gathered by the distinguished collector Nahit Kabakçı, who passed away last year, for over 20 years continues to be exhibited at the prominent European museums. Exhibited at the Osthaus Museum in Hagen within the framework of Ruhr 2010 Capital of Culture activities, the collection's second stop has been Goslar, Germany.  Pieces to be exhibited until 19th of September at the Goslar Mönchehaus Museum are regarded among the outstanding pieces of Turkish Modern Art.

“Istanbul Huma Kabakçı Collection” has drawn a big interest of art-lovers at the Mönchehaus Museum, which was built in 1528 and has been operating as a museum since 1978. “Istanbul Huma Kabakçı Collection has brought a breath of fresh air to our museum. It is very clear from the collection that Turkish Modern Art has contributed a great deal to the World Art” has said Bettina Ruhrberg, director of the Goslar Mönchehaus Museum and the curator of the exhibition, drawing a strong emphasis on exhibiting art works from Turkish Modern Art at their museum.
